10 Months, 3 Days, So Cute

Does it get cuter than those feet? Kellyn has become very busy and very "helpful." I think maybe taking stuff out of drawers is just a developmental stage she's going through. When is the stage where she starts putting stuff back in drawers? I'm ready for that stage.

I absolutely love this baby.

In Nine Days...

...my baby will be ten months old! It's going too fast! She now has six teeth--the better to bite me with, she is crawling EVERYWHERE and getting into EVERYTHING, "talking" non stop, walking with some assistance, and sleeping 12 hours at night. Yes, 12 blissful hours! Although I do kind of miss not seeing her for twelve hours straight, I am not complaining! I am one happy, rested mama! She recently has started dancing while standing up which is hilarious, yesterday she did the actions to the song "Popcorn Popping" with me, and she has started making what we refer to as the 'monkey face.' If you have seen Zoolander, just think Blue Steel--that's the monkey face and it is also hilarious. Now we are just attempting to get all of her adorableness on camera. She has a fascination with electronics (does a camera fit into the "electronics" genre?) so any time we get out the camera, the only thing she is interested in is getting it in her mouth as fast as possible. We have to be very sneaky. Wish us luck! Here are some pictures from our zoo adventure this week. She didn't quite get the "look, there are animals in the cages!" concept. But there were lots of other interesting things to look at such as shiny objects and crazy loud kids running around.

She was way more interested in the fence posts than the huge giraffe. Hmmm...

A few minutes of this and Jared's back was aching. I think she's outgrown the baby
pack.

Mother's Day

My first official mother's day was wonderful. Jared made me breakfast and gave me a massage gift card. I can't wait to use it! We went to Nephi and Kellyn learned how to dance with Aunt Jenny. It is SO CUTE! This isn't the best video but you get the idea. Also, my amazing husband took over in the Kitchen so the mothers could have a break. Doesn't he look manly in my mom's flirty apron? I love these two! I'm so grateful to be a wife and mother. I feel like my life couldn't get any better.

Lost and Found

I lost my camera charger for a while there so I didn't want to post without pictures. Luckily we found it. And we also found the checkbook and Jared's wallet just in case you were wondering (after I cancelled our credit cards--of course). Now for some adventures in Kellyn land.

She is now crawling like a mad-man and pulling herself up to stand constantly....including in the tub. Bathtime has become a bit tricky. Maybe she's ready for the shower?

We love Uncle Andrew and he loves Baby Einstein movies...obviously.

Her first time swimming. And her cute tummy rolls.

We have never done binkies. One day she was crying so I handed her a binky and she put it right in her mouth and started sucking. I guess we do binkies now.
And finally...walking with her daddy in her diaper. Are they cute or what?

I. Am. Tired.

After Kellyn was born, I was assured that she would eventually sleep through the night. I have waited patiently and longed for that day. I am still getting up to feed her two or three times most nights. I am so tired. I'm losing brain cells here. My short term memory was the first to go and I can feel my sanity slipping away. Okay, I'm being dramatic. But seriously...I need eight hours! HELP ME! What should I do? The only advice I've gotten is to let her cry when she wakes up. It's hard to do this when Jared has to wake up at 4:30 AM to go to work. But is that the only way? Because if it is, maybe he can sleep in the car. I'm that desperate.
P.S. I also have diaper anxiety. Sometimes when she wakes up and is crying I think "well I know she's not hungry but she's probably wet. I can't let her cry in a wet diaper!" But if I go in to change her diaper, she screams her head off and so I have to feed her to calm her down. Is it ok not to change her diaper all night? Is that sanitary or is she going to get some crazy incurable diaper rash from too long in one diaper?

Yeah, we're part-time models

My mom recently won a contest and got a free photoshoot with a fantastical photographer. He couldn't get over how cute my little sister Jenny is. It must be the pregnancy glow--in addition to her natural cuteness of course. And don't I have a beautiful mom? Thanks Justin!
