Today after school I found a note on my desk. There is no name on it. And it was typed so I couldn't identify the note-giver by the handwriting. Some mystery child thinks I'm pretty great. Here it is word for word:
"My Teacher is Special: She cars for everyone in the class. She sees that she can help anyone in the class. She never leaves anyone out. She is my favorite teacher. She is funny, nice, and cool she is good at telling jokes to. She can make people happy. She knows when people are glum. (Glum? Was a grandparent helping with word ideas here?) She can get mad but she's still my favorite teacher. My teacher's full name is Amy [Seinfeld]. (Oh thank you I had almost begun to think my first name was "teacher" or "miss") She loves the color brown. (I may need to re-evaluate my wardrobe if an 8 year old knows I wear brown way too much.) I like the color brown to. She knows that no matter what anyone looks like their still special on the inside."
I'm so glad that whoever wrote this thinks I'm special. It made me feel good...even if I do wear too much brown.

That is SO CUTE! Now you know it's not just because I'm your mom that I think you're special! Congratulations on being the best teacher ever! I like brown too.
i wish little kids would leave me such notes. but that would only mean i was a charming pedophile, and that is no good.
Ha ha...how adorable is that! I'm sure you are the cutest little teacher around.
And FYI...brown is my favorite too ;)
