Last Saturday I got to go home and go with my mom and her relief society to Salt Lake for a tour of the church history museum and lunch. It was way fun and felt good to have some 'girl time.' After our tour of the museum, we went to this theater where a group of the women in her ward put on a visiting teaching skit. They have some fantastic acting talent in their ward, by the way. (For anyone who knows her--Sheila Howard...WOW! Hollywood, here she comes!). My mom, of course, was one of the best. I had these pictures of her I wanted to post. She was sporting a pink, glittery, princess crown/angel halo and looked fabulous. I just want to dedicate this post to my mother who I love. She is the coolest mom. She has been the friend who is always there no matter what I need to talk about or what questions I have. Even if I can't follow the directions on a can of soup, she doesn't even laugh at me (that much) when I call to ask her about it. She loves me no matter what. She even still loves me after going through the 14-16 stage with me, babysitting my pet rats, and taking me clothes shopping. Wow...what a woman. I hope I grow up to be a mom like her.

OK, I must admit... as soon as I saw the pictures I muttered, 'I'm gonna kill you Amy!' Then I read the post and you melted my heart by the end. You are an awesome daughter and it was so much fun to spend the day with you. You will be an amazing mom and I'm so looking forward to the role of grandma. (no hints intended);)
amen. (except for the part about me being a similar mom)
Amen! What would we do without our mothers?!? Glad you got to come home and spend some time with her!
